Hello fellow Elementalists! Things in the beta are ticking along, more content, more changes and more bugs! First off, beta hasn't been easy sailing. There have been numerous connection & stability issues, including disconnects which don't actually disconnect you (so you're running around in a static world) and frequent crashes (especially when killing a bunch of turtles in Valley of the Four Winds), but the new questing content looks pretty awesome aside from ...
This has gone up on the Beta forums here Talents On a whole, the talents feel fairly good when considering Elemental specifically. There are some general issues around the level 45/tier 3 talents, mostly that they feel very underwhelming. Having a very limited totem cooldown reseting totems (Capacitor, Earthbind/Earthgrab, Grounding, Tremor, Healing Tide, Stone Bulwark, Windwalk and Mana Tide) means very little to Elemental or Enhancement, although Restoration may find some ...
I need to take a break from cleaning, and the beta servers are down for another hour. Thusly: blog post! Today I'm going to look at talents, the overall aim of each triplet, and whether they'll actually be any good. Level 15: Self Defense Cooldowns What's that you say? Some defensive cooldowns? It's starting to look like we'll have a couple of different approaches to playing Elemental, and it depends on whether you focus on your Elemental or not. Since we don't have all the data yet, we can only do a few basic comparisons of abilities. **edit** a lot of stuff has apparently changed, ...
As you may have read, the new buff/debuff lists for Mists have been posted, which has resulted in a few posts, some of which are along the lines of "the sky is faaaalllingg!". As per usual, I like taking a mathematical approach to this sort of thing. Some of you may remember I've previously done some analysis of the WotLK/Cata buff changes, so this will be in a fairly similar style. First off we need to "normalise" the buff counts, so that one provided by 3 specific ...
